Each Provence Rug is made from up to 3000 recycled plastic bottles. Hand-woven by skilled craftsmen and women, Weaver Green are committed to using weaving houses that only employ adults who are fairly paid and enjoy comfortable and fair working conditions.

Please note:

Putting your rug on a wooden or stone floor? Add a non-slip rug underlay to stop it slipping.

All textiles and rugs are hand-loomed, so some variations in colour and size can be expected. If you are ordering a rug for a specific sized area, please contact us before ordering so we can check measurements before sending your order out to you.

Pilling

Please note that as Weaver Green have designed their recycled plastic bottle yarn to look and feel like natural wool, some pilling can occur particularly in the softer weaves (Diamond, Herringbone and Provence), as can some yarn snagging on the looser weaves. They advise that the softer Diamond, Herringbone, Brighton Stripe, Oslo and Provence weaves are used in low traffic areas including bedrooms and bathrooms rather than hallways and busy living areas.

100% recycled, environmentally friendly, ethically produced, practical and gorgeous rugs and textiles...

While most of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. As our products are made from recycled plastic, they are easy to clean and are very forgiving of tricky red wine/ Ribena stains etc, however prolonged contact with acidic liquids such as ketchup can cause discolouration. Therefore, it is best to clean up and wet wash spills as soon as possible to prevent possible staining.
    Cleaning our rugs
Before washing, hoover loose debris from your rug (we recommend using a lower suction setting without the brush function) or give it a good shake outside. Either hand wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs (up to the size 180cm x 120cm) into the washing machine for a 30-degree cycle using a non–biological washing detergent.
For larger rugs (240cm x 170cm and 300cm x 250cm) we recommend using a commercial sized drum at your local laundrette under the same temperature settings. Alternatively, take your rug outside, hand wash and hose it down and air dry.

Our rugs emerge from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hang on the line to fully air dry. Do not dry clean, tumble dry or lay directly on heated surfaces like a radiator.
Cleaning our cushions, throws, blankets and baskets
Shake of any loose debris, then either hand wash with a light detergent or pop them (cushion covers only, not the inner) in the washing machine on a 30-degree wash with non-biological washing detergent. Allow to air dry naturally. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
    Cleaning our bags
Our linen look bags and beach bags are machine washable. Just shake out any debris and wash them in a 30-degree wash with non-biological washing detergent. Alternatively, handwash using the same detergent.
For leather handle bags, shake out any loose debris, then spot clean or handwash using a light detergent. Allow to dry naturally, do not tumble dry.
    Cleaning our ottomans
The fabric part of our ottomans is made from our rug fabric and can be gently spot cleaned with a light detergent. Do not over wet the area due to the padding below.
    Ironing
There may be the odd occasion where you wish to iron either our linen look products or our throws. It is worth keeping in mind that while they may look and feel like they are made from natural fibres, all our products are made from 100% recycled plastic and so must be ironed with great care and treated like a polyester fabric. We strongly recommend always using a cotton sheet or tea towel as a protective layer between your product and the iron to avoid the risk of melting. We also recommend to not use a steam setting.
